I'm going to Biloxi this weekend with mom to shop for our Disney trip. We're leaving tomorrow after I get my hair cut. We're going to hit up the outlet malls and then Saturday we're going to drive to Foley and shop there too. We're kind of really going because she has $200 free play at Beau Rivage from her birthday and it's killing her not to use it. Lol. Sadly we couldn't get free rooms there because of several things going on at the casinos this weekend so we're staying at a Quality Inn(?) or something still relatively close. She's pulling me to the casino with her so I'm not entirely pleased with this but as long as it's not my money I'm playing with, I guess it's okay. Rofl.

I'm not sure when I'll have pictures from this past weekend's zoo trip posted. I've been insanely busy at work and have had no time to edit them when I am at home and with leaving this weekend and going on vacation next weekend, I doubt I'll be able to post anything before the 2nd week of April. :/

Mom's on my case again about going back to school. I know I need to go but I just don't know what I want to do. I feel like school can be such a waste and knowing I have to take out more student loans doesn't please me. Though her compromise is she'd pay for my current loans knowing I'd have to take more out. I just...really don't know what I want to do. On one hand I would love to go back to Nicholls and finish my art degree but on the other hand I don't want to deal with all the other courses I have to take along with that. I'm just so at a loss. Ugh it's frustrating.

Anyway if I'm not around it's because I'm just too busy to catch up on shit with being out of town and trying to get ready to go on vacation.

Mom got a new video camera (link — in silver) and I stole it and took random videos of Sunny. I'm pretty sure I will use it more than she does once I get my hands on it again. She needed it to record my brother's fight yesterday (boxing) but the guy he was supposed to fight backed out so he ended up not getting to fight again. -_-

And I'm going to the zoo with John and Ben today. The next few weeks I will most likely be even more MIA. I'm going to Biloxi next weekend for a shopping trip with mom to the outlets and possibly to Foley Saturday. Then the next weekend (March 26) we're leaving for Disney! I just need the vacation away from work. I hope we have internet in the cabin but idk if we do. Rofl. There is horseback riding at the ranch near where we're staying though so that makes me excited. XD And we won't be back until April 4. So it'll be a nice long vacation.

As an aside. I HATE DST! It made me wake up an hour later this morning because my stupid phone didn't change and I set my alarm for 7:30 and ararajsgja;ljsg;lajg;jah. So angry. So instead of being on time I'm nearly an hour late. >:||||

I made kimchi pancakes today! They came out really good and were a hit with my family. When I first started making them they were all like WHAT ARE YOU DOING? EW WHAT IS THAT, etc etc. But when they were finished cooking they ate 2 of the bunch that I made.

Simple ingredients. Flour, egg, water / kimchi juice, cut up kimchi, some green onions, and a tiny bit of sesame oil.

Mix it all together.

The first one took me a bit to get it cooked all the way but seeing as this was my first time making them, a bit of trial and error was in order.

Where a pancake once lay. EATEN by my family. Rofl.

And the two that I made for myself with the left over batter. Nom. :D

And that's really all. I enjoy cooking new things, especially Korean food since so much of it sounds so good. And we have Chinese, Japanese, Thai, etc around here but no Korean restaurants. So I just make my own stuff. :D My mom told me now I need to perfect my egg foo young. XD I will try!

I've been having the worst possible moods recently. I've never been one to inflict my emotions onto others but when the situation becomes tense, sometimes I can't help it. It's not an excuse but I still war with myself over my dad's death. I blame myself, I'm still angry at him for leaving us and for not taking care of himself the way he should. Excuses, it's all excuses. I used to be terribly depressed but even then I never took my feelings out on people; I always do it in words, in angry posts and emotional art. When you take your emotions out on the people around you and who care about you, in the end you're just pushing them away and making them not want to have to deal with you anymore. I don't want that. I love the people I'm friends with - online and offline - and I don't ever want to burden others with my own personal problems. I was, at one time, incredibly depressed and probably thought about suicide more than I'd like to admit but I kept it to myself, warred with myself and in the end, I overcame that battle. It took a lot of myself with it but there's still a dark hole buried deep inside of me, but I keep it in check. It's just lately, when I allow myself too much time to think about things (every possible thing that's negatively affected me through the years), it becomes too much and I voice that in ways that may not make since to anyone else but they do to me. These are my emotions weaved into words that don't always strike a chord in everyone. Take them as you wish but never take them personally. This is my own war I fight and I do not wish for pity nor for sympathy.

And that's that.

I went get a massage this morning at work. It was the first time I ever got one and my god it was amazing. I'm sore as all hell right now but the tenseness in my neck and shoulders is almost completely gone. The right side of my neck and the left side of my shoulder blade were the two biggest problem areas. When she was massaging me, I could feel the cracking of the knots in my shoulders and as much as it began to become seriously painful I just let her work it as hard as she could. Knowing that in the end it would make it feel so much better. She said when she first put her hands on my back that she could tell already that my shoulders were glued together. I'm like amazing. That's why my back hurts like fuck all the time. Rofl, but I feel so much better now and am thinking I should get this done at least once a month now or something. Not that I need another indulgence to fill. OTL.

I tried to take a nap when I got home but that's really hard when you have a parrot chewing on you under the covers. -_-; So I only laid there for 30 minutes and got up. Stupid bird.

My new weight, bmi, & fat loss scale / monitor came in today too! I'm amazed that I don't weigh 10lbs more than I actually do but I'm also relieved that I haven't gained anymore weight recently despite seeming to feel it in my clothes. I worked out two days on the elliptical this week and will probably do another work out tomorrow after work and Sunday. I need to get into the habit of working out at least 5 days a week again. No slacking off this time. Though starting back at zero when I was doing 20+ minutes on the elliptical is kind of disappointing but I know I can do it! I just have to stay positive and motivate myself to get it done. I don't want to be 30 years old and still weighing well over 170lbs when I should probably weigh 125lbs at my height. I'll have to force my mom to start coming walk with me around the neighborhood too, since she bought all kinds of weights and workout stuff before and never used it. -_-;

I started reading Industrial Magic by Kelley Armstrong yesterday. I got through 126 pages while at work and so far it's going quicker than the previous book. I'm sure I'll be finished with it by the end of next week. It would be sooner, but I only allow myself to read when I'm at work otherwise, I'd go through my books quicker than I can replace then. Lol.

Anyway, I will go be slightly productive and put some clothes to wash and get ready to go shopping with John (and Ben?) this evening. ♥

HELLO THAR. Long time no update. I'm avoiding Mardi Gras at the moment. I haven't been to a single parade nor have I been in town near any of the chaos. Avoiding traffic, crowds, drunks, etc. It's one of my least favourite times of the year. IDK why seeing as I used to love it as a kid.

This past Friday I hung out with John and Ben. I got off of work at 3pm so I just went hang out at Books a Million for a couple of hours while I waited for John to get off work. It seemed rather pointless to go all the way home just to turn around again and get stuck in all the traffic coming back into town for the parade. We were supposed to do dinner and go to see The Wolfman, but in the end we just ended up renting The Stepfather and watching it at their house. I was molested by the animals and Wilbur gave me kisses and then proceeded to eat my hair. -_-;

We went to Walgreens to get some snacks (and get the movie out of the Red Box) and I found this:

Now, months ago, someone told me that Starbucks didn't make ice cream anymore. Let me tell you how ECSTATIC I was finding this again. Two of my favourite things in one. Coffee ice cream and dark chocolate. It is heaven in a pint. Nom nom.

Not much has been going on in my life. Just working, reading, and being home. I've been reading the Women of the Otherworld series by Kelley Armstrong. I'm on the third book of the series (there's 10 books total so far and I have 9 of the 10) and it's good. Not as exhilarating as the first two but still good. Also I've been working on SJ-World's projects for Kyuhyun and Siwon.

I think I edited over 600 pictures for both projects so far. It's time consuming but it's easy enough to get done. :D I would have volunteered to help with more of the project but I don't like dedicating myself to something and then not ending up having enough time to get my work done. So I rather just not put myself out there for these things. :/

I need my motivation back for working out. I've been totally slacking in that area. I need to get my ass in gear and start working out every day again. I bought a new body mass and weight scale so hopefully when that comes in and I see how much weight I've gained recently (I feel it in my clothes but I can't weigh myself because the scale we have died) I'll get that scare I need to work out again. I would like to lose at least 10lbs before we go to Disney in March/April. My brother has been boxing and I'm so afraid that I'm going to end up weighing more than he does right now. He's lost so much weight boxing, but he has time to spend 3 hours a day 5-6 days a week at the gym. I don't have that time. I constantly say this and never end up doing anything about it and I hate myself for it. I really really need a change but I don't even know how to begin.

Ugh, I hate being in that endless cycle. But I know in the end, I will figure things out. I'm still really wanting to go to Korea next fall too but I doubt that that's going to happen either. I hate working myself up over something and in the end end up disappointing myself. Another endless cycle.

Anyway, I guess I will just end this random post here. I hope everyone has been well and I'm sorry for not being around and/or commenting and all that other stuff. ♥

Long time no update. Just not much going on besides work and if you follow me on twitter, that's pretty much where most of my random everyday sort of updates go.

Anyway, went to New Orleans this Sunday with John and Ben despite the insane cold (which I love) Louisiana has been suffering with the last couple of weeks.

ON THE ROAD AGAIN~!

Ben is an ass. I was having seatbelt issues in the back seat so I moved from the right side of the car to the middle, then to the left, and as soon as I was like I'M NOT MOVING AGAIN, he laid he seat back in triumph.

On the drive, John ... stupidly did not remember which direction he needed to take to get to the French Market, so we went towards SLIDELL instead of towards Downtown / Business District like we were supposed to and on the way we encountered this old ass church. I made John stop in the middle of the road so I could take pictures of it but they had these guys moving stuff into it that were waving us to move. -_-;

Then we decided to go in St. Louis Cathedral.

We just walked around and went into a few shops after visiting the church. We went to Just Dogs which is a small dog bakery and we chatted with the lady and John and Ben bought the puppies some treats. We went into a bronze shop and I talked with the owner about the hurricanes and he was telling me how he can't escape the wrath of man and nature (his country full of war - I assume he's from Afghanistan - and the disasters here and the earthquake in Cali a few days before).

Then on the way back to the car, I noticed this house's pipes were frozen all the way up to the roof. Sucks. -_-; There were a few waterfalls in the Quarter we encountered splashing down from the balconies and such.

We left the Quarter and headed to find food. We ended up going to Clearview and ate at Serrano's. The food was really good as it always is. Funny thing is we ran into Ben's sister who has been traveling across the country and was just passing through to get to Baton Rouge. It was kind of like a 1 in a million chance that we somehow ended up in the same place in all of New Orleans. She joined us while she waited for her ride and we chatted and all. She seems pretty cool.

We left New Orleans and headed home. I went to Starbucks on my way home and just came home to piddle online, drink my latte, and eat the dark chocolate turtles I bought while in the city. Rofl. It was very delicious. Nom nom.

And that was the end of our journey. It was really nice to get out and go do something and just walk around the Quarter when it's not scorching hot. I miss just going do things but work and money permit me from engaging in more things. I miss taking pictures but feel so uninspired when I'm in these cities and places that I've been a hundred times over.

I really want to take a weekend off and drive out to Texas to visit somewhere. IDK it would be a change from the same Louisiana scenery. And to visit a new place would be nice. I miss taking going out and taking pictures but I'm just so bored with everything that's around here.

Maybe one day I'll get to go do something I really want to do. Just will have to keep saving and hope to all hell that nothing comes between me and that goal again. I'll try to update a bit more if anything interesting happens. ♥

So I'm thinking of opening an Etsy store to sell some prints. Any way to make some extra money seems like a good thing to me.

Though I'm not sure if I should make a few prints first and then sell those or have a print to order system instead. It would just be inkjet prints though. I'm not sure how well that would do. :(

Long time no update! (Psst. If you haven't filled out my holiday card post, go go go!)

I brought the idea up to mom to get an elliptical for Christmas since they always get us a "family" Christmas present. Since we never make it to the gym (with the exception of my brother who is doing kick boxing & MMA) but always complain about needing to work out and lose weight. So mom and Robert went buy an elliptical last week. Rofl. I've worked out nearly every day for a good 15-20 minutes and have lost 3lbs since last week. \m/ If I can keep it up and build my resistance up to go more than 20 minutes (my thighs, they burns) then I don't doubt I can lose about 30lbs or more in a few months time. WHICH MAKES ME VERY HAPPY! :D

Work has been blah. Still not exactly making 20 hours a week but that's mostly because we are so insanely slow still and they still haven't managed to finish the building. -_-; They need to be done before December 5th since we're having our Grand Opening (oh joy).

Nothing much else has been going on. I have some errands to go run today, bank, Walmart for make-up, etc. Mom, my Granny, and I went shopping Sunday. I got some espresso brown curtains for my room and I bought a couple of other little things. :3

Due to the absolute fuckery of the internet and how my name keeps coming up in these hate memes that people keep creating because they have nothing better to do with their time than start drama, I'm not accepting any friend requests.

As I have said before, I don't friend empty journals, journals with one or two posts, nor do I friend everyone back because this is my personal life and journal that I decide who I care to share that with.

Despite what people may think, I do have a life outside of the internet and Super Junior and I just don't have the time nor the inclination to keep up with this shit.

If you want to take your anger out on something, go find a brick wall and kick it as hard as you can.

Holiday Cards!

I'm starting this rather early, I know but it will give me an entire month or so to get everything ready and sent out. I know the world is full of diversity and different religions that do not celebrate Christmas so I try my best to send out relatively generic Happy Holiday sort of cards. But to add a personal touch I always include a photo that I've taken.

If you don't celebrate any specific holiday, please let me know! I'll still send you a card (I have plenty of pretty non holiday cards lying around) and I'd still love to send them to you guys. ♥

I'm giving your choice of photo this time around. You can ask for something I've posted before, a picture of Sunny, or a prompt of your own. My only rules are no pictures of me, I can't do snow or anything "scenic" since I live in south Louisiana and there isn't anything very nice to look at around here. I cannot guarantee the artsy-ness of a prompt you give me though so just a warning. Lol. And if anything I may ask for a different prompt from you just to guarantee I can do it. ><

Day in and day out. Work work work. That's all I've been doing Mon-Fri for the last two weeks. I feel like I don't have time to get online and socialize with my friends like I have been and like I want to. I'm tired, haven't been sleeping well, my wrist has been hurting me, etc. A million excuses, I know. I'm not used to this working 9-5 on a daily basis. It's draining, especially when there's too much consistency to your day. At least for me it is, but I guess that's what I'm to expect regardless of the type of job I end up with. Oh life.

I'll have a set of pictures from the photo meme ready by this weekend. I think I have pretty much everything shot. I just need to do one or two and then edit and upload. I'm also going to launch my holiday card post soon too so I can get started on that as soon as possible. Since there's no telling how much or how little time I'll have to execute it.^^

Anyway, I must be off to get ready for work. ♥

Okay! So every year I send out holiday cards and include a photograph of some sort, whether it's one I take or some that I've printed off and you have the option to choose.

I'm not sure what to do this year. I would love to be able to take a polaroid for everyone but that is not possible. T_T What would you guys like to see from me? Would you like a prompt to give me and I take the photo (realistic prompts of course) or would you rather I give you options to choose from? (I have no idea of what though. I have no darkroom access sadly.)

Ideas! Thoughts? Opinions. All are greatly appreciated. :D
